Meaningful Place (15 ec)

Learning outcome assignment: 'Design a placemaking concept in a co-creative and iterative way that is experienced as meaningful by the end user and gives substance to the (re)formulated issue'.

The placemaking process is a way to bring different stakeholders together to constructively and collaboratively generate more resources, ideas and creativity to make places meaningful. The overall goal is to create meaningful placemaking concepts that contribute to the welfare, prosperity and well-being of people, in short, improving the quality of life. Placemaking designs that not only pay attention to the physical component of a place, but also to experiences that keep a place lively, attractive and interactive for different target groups in the long term (orgware - software - hardware).

In any case, creativity, collaboration (co-creation) and iteration (in-depth learning process) are crucial for all placemaking processes to ultimately arrive at solutions that are experienced as valuable by the end user.

Within the meaningful place assignment you will work on a meaningful place in a co-creative and iterative way by developing a placemaking concept that is meaningful for all relevant stakeholders.
You can find out how the assignment is assessed in the rubric. You can also download the Dutch version of the rubric.
