The DOAS offers work space to artists, creative entrepreneurs and social initiatives. It is a breeding ground where barriers are low and involvement is high; where artists can work on installations, where theater plays through the corridors, where there is space to organize a festival, where young talents are given a stage, where the neighbors spontaneously come for coffee.
We stand for:
Affordable workspaces: Activities in the field of art, culture and society are of great value to Leeuwarden. It is important that entrepreneurs can develop and develop ideas in a location at acceptable rental prices.
Room for experiment: Tenants have the space to let ideas grow and flourish. This is where new projects and initiatives arise. In the DOAS you will find entrepreneurs from various artistic disciplines. We warmly welcome cross-pollination!

Togetherness: Anyone who rents a workspace from us feels connected to the building. Tenants seek each other out, unite in various working groups and are ambassadors to the outside world.
A lively Leeuwarden: We offer space for exhibitions, festivities and other gatherings. We connect individuals, organizations and communities and contribute to a thriving city.
A place for everyone: We are a place for local residents, people can meet each other, come and have a cup of coffee in the catering industry, participate in workshops, etc. But not only local residents are welcome; The DOAS is a place for everyone.
